New For '22

The RBC has been busy this winter! New for 2022 are more regional and local themed rides, expansion of our popular Monday and Thursday weeknight Rockland Lake series and adding more JPF (Just Plain Fun) events.

New on Wednesday nights beginning May 18, "Ride then Imbibe" will introduce riders to another night of local cycling with start/finish at a different Rockland brewery each ride where we can relax and refuel after the ride.

In an effort to ride some new roads and see new sights, we're expanding our calendar to include both unaffiliated and RBC sponsored regional rides where the theme seems to intersect with Club interests. The New Paltz Farm to Fork Fondo in June is already getting some buzz on the ride schedule and we have similar rides scheduled and in the planning stages.

We even have a new Anchor event on October 23: Rides & Strides sponsored by Montefiore/Nyack Hospital in support of Breast Cancer Awareness. The Rockland Bicycling Club is an Event Partner and we'll be lending a hand with operations and logistics to support the Rockland Community and Breast Cancer Awareness. Keep your eyes open for more as the event draws closer!

As for Ad-hoc Rides, we've got some familiar ones returning as well as some new ideas.  Weekday Warriors will still be able to depend on Lunch Bunch and Dawn Patrol to provide regular group workouts in a shorter format. Ice Cream Rides, longer weekend rambles, Taco Rides and spur-of-the moment rides will all be posted as Leaders determine.
